"In the mornings he was just an ordinary magician, member of a moving circus that would perform from village to village. The gypsies, by whom he had been found and raised, taught him some of their classic tricks, like for example how to appear doves out of silk mantillas or rabbits from his hat as well as several tricks with playing cards. “Magic” tricks that sometimes impressed the naive peasants that would tip him, while other times again he would fall humiliated under the heavy laughter and the cruel mockery of the crowd.
During the nights though, when he withdraws inside his tiny tent,…alone...he performs a rather unique kind of show. Without any audience around at all, he begins to float on sceneries far more extravagant than anything, even the most imaginative mind, could ever be able to give birth to. In this show the doves become celestial birds, the silken mantillas dance between them weaving massive, exotic tigers, the cards grow wings and fly away in mythical places ...while he, is being reborn as the greatest magician the world had ever witnessed. Later on, while the night falls heavy upon his tiring visions, the pictures of his mind fade away once more as he fells asleep, far beyond the dazzling worlds of his seductive illusions, in the same, pitiful, sleazy corner.
Ain't those the same illusions we all let ourselves breathe into everyday, fooling our weak hearts and spirits in believing into worthless affairs that can so easily deprive us from the power of trusting our own true making any longer? "
